The Glock 17 is a high capacity 9mm Luger handgun that operates on a blowback action. It was designed by Gaston Glock. The Glock line of pistols are some of the simplest weapons as far as disassembly and repair with very few total parts. The Glock 17 can use either a 10, 17, or 33 round magazine, though the 17 round magazine is standard. Light weight and accurate, this is a very reliable and easy to use weapon. There is also a target version called the 17L and a compensated version called the 17C. The Glock 17 uses a polygonally rifled barrel. The finish on the slide is a proprietary finish called Tennifer that is very resistant to corrosion. There is a huge market for aftermarket parts and accessories.
