I'm interested in this, after loving Dirt Rally but becoming bored of the stages, but is there enough content here if I don't care about any of the non-rally stuff?

Yep! The rally portion of the career makes up substantially more of the package than the other modes. Plus you basically have infinite tracks and from what I've seen it works really well. Plus the game has daily, weekly and monthly community events that are rally (they generate tracks/championships and you compete against the rest of the community for the best times, you only get one shot too, no restarts). And then it has the pro tour which is the multiplayer rally. It's still quite a high price but I would say if you loved Dirt Rally you'll love this and won't regret a purchase

I have a prediction for Ubisoft.

In July 2015 Ubisoft Toronto put out a job posting for a senior game designer with AAA game experience to work on a new IP.

In August 2015 Clint Hocking (famous for being lead on Far Cry 2 and Splinter Cell Chaos theory) joined that studio presumably filling that role (?)

Since then it seems like Toronto has just been helping out Ubisoft Montreal with their projects however if they are still working on their own big new triple A IP then I would imagine that this E3 would be the time to show it off.

If Hocking is still working on it then it should be something to get excited about.

Also, the only game Toronto has worked as leads on is Splinter Cell Blacklist back in 2013 which I think is considered one of the high points in that series and probably is the second best just after Chaos Theory.

All in all a lot of potential

EDIT: Also the remaining director of Blacklist is currently working on a "secret" https://twitter.com/harpax?lang=en

Looks awesome but think I'll hold off until it's out of EA. Looks so good that I don't want to wear it out before all the content is in

Fuckin shit.

I downloaded the game straight away as soon as it unlocked. Made it to what should have been area 3 but I got presented with the "thanks for trying the beta screen". Steam hadn't downloaded that patch that made the game into the full version yet.

Okay

Download patch

Second run

Make it to third zone and glitch into an impossible room that I can't escape and that enemies shoot me through the walls in.

Great

Third run

Beat the final boss. In the little epilogue section I manage to get stuck on geometry and can't move. End up killing myself by shooting the floor trying to dislodge myself.

Awesome

Also I'm fairly sure I would have beat the game first run through if it had let me. And I ain't no master fps player. Game seems pretty damn easy

I am enjoying it. But boy. Maybe hold off on this one.

Splinter cell Blacklist came out four years ago and we haven't heard anything regarding a sequel. Think that just about qualifies it for this. I've liked/loved just about every game in that series :(

And it seemed like they were finally really nailing the balance between stealth and action in blacklist.

Oh, and of course Metroid. A really good Metroid game could maybe push me to get a switch

Man.. I realize this is an 8 year old thread. But that was me. I have been trying to hunt down what episode that was and listen to myself from 10 years ago. Any insight into finding that would be appreciated.

Yeah what's the point of SMGs in games? They'e always just shit assault rifles. Less damage less range less accuracy. Poop

I know it's a silly thing to think about but this is super unpredictable. Word of mouth and general impressions from the first few hours are pretty universally average - bad but then you see people saying that it does get a lot better. And then you have to take into accounts that will just give higher scores than they perhaps should because of hype. Dunt know mate
